New Baby Girl Cupcakes

My future sister in law recently gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl in world (ok, as a first time aunt and not yet had my own children, I am pretty biased, but seriously, she is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen).

I'm in to cake decorating and couldn't resist the opportunity to make some baby girl cupcakes. I didn't get time to make them the first time we went to visit but we visited again last night for more cuddles so I made them the night before and took them round. They were vanilla inside with vanilla buttercream and fondant icing. I used an impression mat on the icing on two of the cupcakes and I finished them all off with cute pink decorations which I handmade myself. Here are a few pictures. (And as if I wasn't already broody enough, our nieces birth made me just a bit (ok alot) more).

Welcome

Hi and welcome to my blog, Polka Dotted Tiffany.

I have decided to start my own blog after reading many others and thinking, ‘why don’t I create my own’. So here I am. My name is Tiffany and here are a few things about me:

I like baking.

I love eating.

I like crafting.

I love stationery, all kinds, I just can’t resist it.

I got engaged on my  29th birthday on 25th November 2013 and I can’t wait to marry my soulmate, love of my life and best friend.

I’m interested in aviation / commercial airlines and am slightly obsessed with commercial jets.

I love sarcasm and wit in a person – It’s probably my favourite kind of humour.

I love tea. Both the drink and afternoon varieties.

I love polka dots – they’re pretty and anything with polka dots draws my eye.

I hate peanuts. Whenever people hear this they ask me if I’m allergic. I’m not, I just don’t like them.

I like to travel and see places.

My other half and I currently rent a tiny one bedroom flat which we have outgrown. It can get a bit crazy but we make do.

I turn 30 this year and unlike many other people I'm really looking forward to my 30's. I have a lot planned for the next decade and I feel like everything is starting to fall in to place. I am realising who I am and who I want to be and I am working towards that. I am becoming more comfortable in myself.

I have a bad habit of getting something out then not putting it back when I’ve finished with it, much to the annoyance of everyone else. I’m trying to be better at this this!

I guess you could put my blog in to the lifestyle section of the blogging world, as I will be writing about anything and everything that takes my fancy.

I hope you will enjoy reading.
